The first day of school will Tuesday, August 25, 2026. This will be a full day of school. With the below buttons you can view a comprehensive Harding Calendar. You can also see the daily schedule below.
Parking Registration

Athletic Registration
Before students can begin participating in a Washington sports team, they must complete an athletic registration.
Bus Transportation
By Iowa law, the District is obligated to transport students who wish to ride and are eligible. For most high school students, this means living 3 or more miles from the high school in your residence area.

Warrior Closet & Warrior Kitchen
The Warrior Closet is a free supply center providing new and gently used clothing, school supplies, and toiletries for Washington students. Donations can be dropped off in room 112 Monday through Thursday, 8:00am – 3:00pm, or by appointment with Amy Rouse arouse@crschools.us.
Acceptable items: T-shirts, sweatpants, yoga pants, gym shorts, gym shoes, underwear & socks (new only), backpacks, school supplies, toiletries, winter coats & accessories, prom/homecoming attire, interview wear. Unacceptable items: Blue jeans, Purses, Pajamas, Sweaters Warrior Kitchen – *Open during the school year The Warrior Kitchen, in partnership with HACAP, provides resources to Washington families. The Warrior Pantry provides take-home meals for families, personal care and household items based on availability. Please contact the main office at 319-558-2161 for more information. Some items may require the completion of the TEFAP form. The form remains valid for the school year. Annual Verification
Annual Verification is currently open. Completion is required by ALL Cedar Rapids Community School District families for ALL enrolled students.
Annual Verification through the Parent Portal lets us know that your student will be attending a CRCSD school for the upcoming school year so that we can adequately plan for classroom assignments and transportation needs. This is also when parents can sign up to receive communications from the school, sign all permission slips needed for the year (media release, field trip permission, and technology use), and complete forms to qualify for reduced school fees.

Athletic Pass
There are several different types of sport passes and individual tickets offered for the 2025-2026 school year. To see a list of passes offered along with their descriptions please visit the Bound website as they become available.
Cash is allowed at the gate for the 2026-2027 school year!
Health Clinic
Jefferson High School has a full-time school-based health clinic, also known as Metro Care Connection or MCC. MCC is a health clinic providing services such as routine physical examinations, which are required for students to participate in sports.

Counselling
Student schedules will be available for viewing in mid-August.

The Washington Counseling Department is available to assist students with a variety of needs throughout the
school year. Here are just a few of the ways counselors serve Washington students and their families.
- Academic Planning: Registering for classes, schedule changes, opportunities for learning off campus, advocate for students with special needs, counsel students on how to be successful in the classroom
- College and Career Planning: Job shadows, apprenticeships, college search and application process, financial aid, scholarship applications, recommendation letters, resume building
